About Me
My name is Mrs. Rioux and I’m excited to be your kindergarten teacher! I love children & teaching & I especially love teaching kindergarten! I live with my husband, Rick & we have three children, Cody, 25, Brady, 22 & Cassidy, 18 and an 11 month old puppy, Sanibel. We love to hike, swim, paddle-board, play games, read and go on trips together! I'm looking forward to starting new adventures with you in kindergarten!

Volunteering

VOLUNTEERING:  We offer a wide array of volunteer opportunities for parents who would enjoy an expanded role in their child's classroom education.  I highly utilize volunteers and love to have consistent helpers whenever possible. More information about volunteering will be available in late September. Please keep in mind that in order to volunteer in your child's classroom, including chaperoning field trips, you are required to attend a Volunteer Awareness Session with our Pond Cove Volunteer Coordinator, John Holdridge (see link).  Please note that if you have already attended a session in previous years, you will not need to attend again, but each year you must sign a confidentiality statement before volunteering. F.Y.I., I have extreme sensitivities to fragrances, as do some children, so please try to avoid bringing/wearing scented items/perfume into the classroom!  For safety reasons we cannot accommodate younger siblings in the classroom.  Many parents in the past have traded and alternated childcare with other parents in the same classroom.  Additionally, I have materials that can be prepared at home should you choose to support us outside of the classroom!
