Writing Workshop: Writers write about what they LOVE. Writers are telling their partner(s) about their writing plan -including the details they are going to write about their special object.
Author's wrote their own version of the book, Have You Ever Seen...? by John Tarlton. The book highlights the "ing" ending in a silly story of animals doing all kinds of crazy things! We made a class big book of our own and it will be traveling home with students soon! ENJOY!
Readers are finger-pointing and looking carefully at each word during BUDDY READING. Reading buddies make sure the reader is pointing to and looking at each word. They are going to help the reader by suggesting a reading strategy if he/she gets stuck on a word or makes a “miscue,” a mistake in the text. These HOME READING books will be coming home every Friday and should be read at home for a few days and then returned to school.
