Let the Pumpkin Magic Begin!

Science: Learning all about the life cycle of a pumpkin!

PUMPKIN Sentence Scramble!

Students took a mixed up sentence and arranged it in the appropriate order. Children are learning a variety of important skills during this sentence scramble. This activity reinforces several concepts about print: 1. Groups of letters must be in order to form words 2. Each word has its on space 3. We read and form sentences from left to right. 4. Words must be in an order that makes sense. 5. Sentences start with a capital letter and end with punctuation. Additionally, students had to use their strategies to read the sentence accurately. They had to finger-point, get their mouths ready to start words and think about what makes sense and what looks right.
