Writing Workshop: Spotlight Writer!

I have introduced the concept of WRITING PARTNERS. Before conferencing with me, students need to conference with a writing partner.  They are learning how to work as a team to support each other and give helpful feedback about their writing. After they are done working on a piece, they follow the T.A.G. procedure with their partner: T - Tell what you liked, A - Ask a question, G - Give a suggestion. We will continue to model and practice this great strategy for making our best work EVEN BETTER!

Writing Partners: Reading and listening carefully

Our Writers' SHARE CIRCLE!
Writers go around to each team member's story and give a compliment.

Our WOW WRITERS book-line where we hang and proudly display our work.

We began Book Publishing last week where students made a title, dedication page and started their stories. We are working on creating stories with interesting characters, a setting and a beginning, middle and end. An adult records the words so authors can focus on the art of storytelling! We are LOVING every minute of it! A big THANK YOU to our patient publishers!
